Energy Reform in Uzbekistan Brings New Opportunities for Chinese Lighting Enterprises in the Central Asian Market

Created on 04.06
Recently, the government of Uzbekistan has been promoting energy reform and plans to fully replace street lamps nationwide with solar-powered lighting products. This project alone can reduce power consumption by 50%, generating huge demand for market renovation.
Meanwhile, the Uzbek government has introduced a series of preferential policies, including tax reductions, export subsidies and simplified certification, to encourage foreign investment, support the implementation of smart city construction, and drive a surge in demand for LED lighting products and lighting technologies.
At present, products from Chinese eco-friendly lighting enterprises are already bestsellers in the local market, with orders from some companies scheduled through the end of the year. Relying on their cost performance and green advantages, Chinese enterprises have become core players in the Central Asian lighting market and embraced a new opportunity for overseas expansion.
